As our main office location, Midwest Low Vision is proud to call Bloomington, Indiana home. Under the leadership of Dr. Jarrod Long, a practicing optometrist in Bloomington for more than two decades, our practice is dedicated to helping individuals with low vision regain functional sight and improve quality of life. We want you to see well enough to do your favorite activities again—whether that is reading, cooking, driving, or simply seeing the faces of your loved ones. We work as a team with patients and their families to achieve the patient’s vision goals.
Low Vision Services Offered
At our clinic, we provide:
- Low vision eye exams: Unlike a standard medical eye exam, a low vision evaluation focuses on improving functional vision to help patients achieve specific goals, such as reading or driving. In our exam, you can expect to receive a review of medical history, specialized medical assessment, and testing with custom tools and devices to find the solution to best fit your needs.
- Common glasses and devices: Specialized devices to assist people with low vision include telescopic, microscopic, and prismatic glasses, e-scoop glasses, electronic or video aids, traditional magnifiers, or other non-optical aids. These devices are designed to help patients return to daily activities.
